Heats of Reaction Lab Write Up: Due Tues 2/9

Please do the write-up on separate paper and do not include the lab hand-out.

You Need:
  1. Purpose (can repeat what is on the hand-out or ad-lib with your own)
  2. Background: should be unique to you.  Include what you already know about the subject or how heats of reaction fits into the context of chemistry and/or daily life.
  3. Procedure:  Do not rewrite the procedure.  Saying "see hand-out" is fine for this lab.
  4. Data Table (should be labeled with units for anything that you measured in the lab)
  5. Calculations for all 3 parts.  Show work.  Include units.
  6. Conclusion.  Described on the hand-out.  Refer back to the purpose, use numbers to back yourself up.  Refer to the equation A+B = C using your values for enthalpy.  Explain results.  Discuss sources of error and/or uncertainty.
