The Week of 12/7-12-11 (updated 12/9)

• Monday 12/7:  Mole-Mass, Mole-Particle, and Mole-Volume relationships.  Complete 1st side of Mole worksheet and work on 2nd side (worksheet due Thursday).  Bring fruit tomorrow!  (you only need a small piece)
• Tuesday 12/8:  Measuring Moles Lab.  Start Fruit Lab.   Work on  Mole Worksheet.
• Wednesday 12/9:  Mid-day FLEX.  Since next week is a 2-hour late opening, this is the last mid-day FLEX before winter break!!  Take care of business now!!
• Thursday 12/10:  Turn in Mole Worksheet.  Finish Fruit Lab (write-up due by next Friday 12/18 at the latest).  Discuss Percentage Composition.  Do 1st side of Percentage Composition Worksheet.  Go to Library to start "Faces Of Chemistry" project (due the 2nd Thursday after winter break).  Lunchtime FLEX in my classroom.
• Friday 12/11:  Turn in Mole Worksheet.   Questions on anything so far?  Discuss Percentage Composition. Do 1st side of Percentage Composition Worksheet.  Hydrate Lab (determine the number of moles of water in copper sulfate hydrate).  Hand out 9+10 Review.

What is happening next week?  Go over Empirical Formulas on Monday and complete worksheet.  9+10 Review/Finish Hydrate Lab on Monday/Tuesday.  9+10 Test on Thursday and work more on Faces Project.  Test Corrections on Friday.  Turn in Fruit Lab Write-up before break (details on requirements of lab to come).
