The official end of the 1st quarter is next Thursday, November 5th. The deadline for late work and extra credit for this class is next Wednesday, November 4th by 1:30 pm!! You should have received notice of updated grades this week. If you need information on how to log on to Webgrade, let me know. Please check with me if you see a discrepancy in the report.
We are taking a 5+6 Test tomorrow (Friday, October 30). That will be the last assignment of the quarter. You should get your Element Project, Alkaline Earth Metal, and 5+6 Test back graded on Monday. If you are concerned about your grade or just want to improve it, you can do some extra credit. At this point, an easy thing to do is find a news article on a chemistry topic and write a review of it. (See "Critical Reader" document on this site if you want some guidance). You can also find good Chemistry links for this site, although those don't generate a lot of points. Remember that the maximum extra credit you can do is 5% of the total points, which is about 20 points this quarter.
